Welcome to Resurrection Lutheran! Resurrection Lutheran Church was established in 1966. The early congregation met in the auditorium at Buchanan School. Two years later, with lots of hard work from the members, the church was built on the corner of Capitol and Taylor Avenues.
Resurrection Lutheran is known in town for
its annual "Living Nativity." Started in December 1999, the Christmas
story is told outside the church with live animals and members playing the roles of Mary, Joseph, Jesus, the
shepherds, angels, wisemen and others. The church has also joined in partnership
for the Lenten season with Oahe Presbyterian, First Baptist, Trinity Episcopal,
and the Church of Hope. With an active congregation, there are continued Bible
studies, service in the community, and strong fellowship. |
